We all get our words mixed up from time to time but it never ceases to amaze me how often I hear people getting confused between a logo, a corporate identity and a brand. Whilst all intrinsically linked they are very separate elements in their own right.
So what is the difference…
This is the mark, symbol, icon or typography used by the business to help identify it in the marketplace.
The supporting elements, images, colours, layout – the look and feel that helps present a unified look throughout the marketplace.
This is where a product or company connects on an emotional level to their customers. It’s the personality or promise of what is on offer.
Quite simple really, obvious to some, but confused by many.
